Week two of twelve! GOPO update!

This article is a little overdue, I have been spending some time in the hospital recently. I also have a lot of appointments to attend in the upcoming months, so things are really busy for me at home right now. However, I wanted to write an update on the GOPO trial which I have been taking part in for just over the past two weeks now.

As you're all aware, I have been taking three capsules twice daily and I am soon to start taking the maintenance dose. I have been noticing quite a few positives since starting taking the rose hip supplement. Firstly, my joints including: hips, shoulders, knees and ankles have become a lot less stiff and I rarely suffer from inflammation. This is quite a different story from a few weeks ago, I would experience severe morning stiffness and inflammation on a daily basis. So that's definitely a bonus, I would be left in tears most mornings trying to get myself out of bed without success.

Also I have noticed that my quality of sleep is starting to improve slightly, I have been starting to have longer periods of REM (dream sleep) and waking up feeling less groggy than usual with a much better mood in the mornings. This is fantastic considering the fact that I really struggle with getting any quality sleep, and I have a really bad habit of causing sports injuries to myself when asleep in bed so I am very happy with the results I am seeing so far.

However, there is one downside I have found since taking the supplement and that is its sheer size. They aren't particularly large, they are the standard size for capsules. I do have a lot of trouble taking capsules, I have a few gastro issues which make it hard for food and medicine to stay down but I seem to just about manage it.

Luckily, the capsules don't leave a bad taste in your mouth, they are completely tasteless so I don't have too much hassle when the capsules make their way back up my throat. It is still early days into the twelve week challenge but I am already seeing some exciting benefits! I can't wait to see how much things have improved by the time I reach the end of this trial, I really do feel that things can only get better. Although I am still in a lot of pain on a daily basis as my doctors do not prescribe me with any pain relief I am receiving a little bit more comfort which is giving me a little bit more quality of life.

I may be a bit quiet in the following weeks to come, I have at least one hospital appointment every week and some of those appointments are from nine in the morning to half four in the evening so I may struggle to get a chance to sit down and write as much as I want to. I also have fallen really behind on my uni work, and I am currently thinking of undergoing the process to change the subject matter of my degree to better suit my interests so things are getting a little hectic. I would like to try and share my fabulous Loot Crate box that I received from my wonderful partner (Thank you so much!! <3), and a few other health related articles before my next Loot Crate delivery arrives! Here is a sneak peak of what was inside!!
