Happy Friday the 13th!
I set up this blog quite a few months ago in order to start making regular posts about chronic illness, to gather as much knowledge as possible to raise awareness and to give any helpful advice that I am able to. Little did I know exactly how much I was taking on, my condition started to deteriorate further and I became even more limited in what I was able to do. Although I was born with this condition and experienced health problems throughout my childhood, it was only in the last year and a half that my problems became so severe that I have had to try and adjust to life with a chronic illness.
There are so many things that I desperately want to achieve, such as getting back on track and completing my degree, getting healthy enough so I am able to get back into work, fundraising for chronic illness, raising awareness and doing all that I can to make a positive change. At the moment I do not have the luxury of picking and choosing what I can and can't do, but I am hoping that in time I will be able to change this and then I will be able to dedicate more time to blogging.
However, I haven't been completely inactive since my last post. I was approached by a fellow chronic illness warrior that wanted to use me as a case study to feature in a blog post in aid to raise awareness for both Hypermobility syndrome and Ehlers Danlos syndrome. I love reading Lauren's blog and I was thrilled to be able to share an insight to what life can be like for those that suffer with chronic ilnesses.
