A little something I haven't yet done, I thought it would be nice to bring a bit of sarcastic seasonal cheer to you all seeing as it is my first Christmas after starting this blog. I haven't really celebrated Christmas much, but this year is going to be totally different so we will see if I will can make the transformation from a grumpy Grinch to an ecstatic elf. I managed to find this searching through twitter and I have seen that quite a lot of bloggers were getting stuck in, some are creating their own twenty five days of Christmas, and others are using a template from Family Corner. I might switch it up a little depending on how the mood takes me, but I will do my best at posting every day.
Day One
What is your favourite Christmas tradition?
Well, I must say that although my family don't really celebrate Christmas, a few of us still get together and make the most of the glorious amounts of food always available during the Christmas period. My favourite tradition has to be stuffing my face with everything edible and trying to gain as much weight as possible. The fact that it is completely acceptable to eat everything in sight at any time of the day, all day is absolutely brilliant. I love roast dinner, I could have one every day for the rest of my life and never get tired of fluffy Yorkshire puddings and roasted potatoes drizzled with homemade gravy and mint sauce. Then there is the selection of meat, chicken, turkey, beef, mmm. I can't begin to describe how much I love food and this time of the year is absolutely fantastic for winter warming foodie goodness.
Other things that are divine this time of year:
~ Carrot and orange cake
~ Ginger and spice cakes
~ Gingerbread stars
~ Creme caramel
~ Chicken + stuffing sandwiches
~ ALL BUFFET FOOD
