On the Twelfth day of Blogmas..

My most sincere apologies to anyone that has been eagerly awaiting my Blogmas posts this Christmas! My condition has been deteriorating and I haven't been able to do as much writing as I would have liked but I will not let my EDS defeat me! I will be catching up with all of the posts that I have missed out on, and I have a exciting product that I have been asked to try out and review which I cannot wait to share with you all!

Day Two

What does Christmas mean to you?

Although Christmas isn't really celebrated in my household, it is definitely one of my favourite holidays of the year. If I am working I will take some time off so I can spend it at home. Gaming, food and festivities! I love to game during the Christmas period, usually it is Runescape or an MMORPG (massive multiplier online role-playing game) for nostalgic purposes but I have broadened my horizons to League of Legends, COD Black ops Zombies, Mortal Kombat, and Minecraft. A friend of mine has recently made a youtube channel so the team could upload videos of our gameplay, to check out The Smack Pandas simply click here. The first video is a clip of a League of Legends featuring a Gnar outplay, I highly recommend you give it a little looky and a like!

Day Three

How are you celebrating this year?

This year I will be going to my partner's house in the Midlands to spend the holidays with him and his family. I am quite excited, I will get to experience how he celebrates Christmas! We will be travelling down tonight and staying through until the New Year, so I will be taking many pictures of our winter adventures and uploading them to instagram. I am not sure exactly what is going to be happening during the holidays but I bet it will be jam packed with fun, food, friends and Riley!

Day Four

Is it going to snow this year?

I hope so! I don't go outside much during this time of year, but if it is snowing I can guarantee I will at least venture out of my cave once or twice to make a snowman! I also love snowball fights, building trenches to use to our advantage to destroy our opponents and infiltrate their handmade igloos. It is like I have become a kid again, there has to be something about the snow!

Day Five

What is on your wishlist this Christmas?

My wishlist is pretty small this Christmas, there isn't really anything exciting that I can think of that I would like. I wouldn't mind a lovely pair of grey smart crutches to help me become a bit more mobile around the house, I have also been working on my mother for a while to allow me to get a pet rat but that seems to be becoming more of a distant dream. I suppose if I can't have a rat, sea monkeys will have to do, although I can't really train sea monkeys to do anything interesting.

Day Six

What are your top five finger foods?

This is one of the hardest questions I will ever have to answer, I love all finger food. Particularly mini pizzas, my favourite food in bite size chunks! Keep me away from those if you want to have any, because I will demolish however many plates there are of this amazing creation. Next up it has to be mini sausage rolls, they are divine! At their best they are fresh out of the oven and piping hot, but I think it is great how pretty much most of party / buffet food can be consumed cold and still taste just as good. Other finger licking party foods I can't get enough of are: Scotch eggs, mini sandwiches, cocktail sausages and the cheese selection (with crackers!)

Day Seven

Stocking stuffers for the family?

I have got quite a few ideas for stocking stuffers, these include: micro crochet animals, jars of favourite sweets, lego soaps, and other cute novelty gifts. The soaps and crochet animals you can purchase on Etsy, but instead of buying the crochet animals I will be having a crack at it myself! I also like to gift game cards, they are an essential stocking filler for the gamers in your family.

Day Eight

Favourite Christmas music?

Untitled

I believe this picture adequately sums up how I feel about Christmas music, I can't stand it and sometimes it fills me with a firey rage. There are some tunes that I can tolerate, but I detest walking through a shopping centre the day after Halloween because that's when you get smacked in the face with festive music and realise that Christmas is fast approaching and you haven't even given it a second thought. Enter all the frantic shoppers running around trying to get everything they need, pair this with Jingle bells or some other festive beat and there you have it, a recipe for disaster. I try to avoid going to any shops from November, and source my gifts and goodies online.

Day Nine

Winter items you can't live without?

I can't live without my winter warmers! I love my hats, gloves, scarves, anything that will keep me feeling cosy during the cold winter months. At home I like to plod around in my parnter's onesie, although it is too big and the feet drag across the floor due to my hobbit size I can't get enough of how snuggly the onesie is. I also love gingerbread lattes, caramel lattes and chai tea during this season. Lattes aren't something that I particularly drink but I adore these drinks as they taste like Christmas in a cup!

Day Ten

Favourite childhood Christmas memory?

My favourite Christmas memory was when I was five. My mum had bought me a kitten for Christmas, and I was over the moon with him. A beautiful ginger maine coon with little pink jellybean paws, and the most gorgeous green eyes. We named him Gizmo and I spent the whole day playing with him until he became lost. I got so upset that I cried, but it was then that my mother pointed to the top of the Christmas tree. There was Gizmo, at the top tangled in the lights looking down at us, a cheeky look upon his face.

Day Eleven

Homemade Christmas decorations?

I do make homemade decorations on occasion, it was last year that I included a handmade bauble for everyone in their hamper of homemade gifts. I did this by getting regular baubles, covering them in glue and then sticking tissue paper in the design that I wanted. I have also been making some snowflake decorations for a friend's vintage Christmas tree, I did this with Hama beads, you simply make a picture with the beads , cover it with grease proof paper and go over it with an iron.

Day Twelve

When do you open presents?

I always open presents before Christmas, and I have already opened some but I am going to try to be good and not open another until Christmas day. I have a bad habit of making people open their presents before Christmas, I just can't keep surprises to myself, I always cave. It is something I need to work on, my partner already knows everything he is getting for Christmas.
